Our last San Diego hotspot of the year goes to…. South Beach Bar & Grille located right by the water in Ocean Beach! I saved my favorite for last! I love this place because they have so many good happy hour specials, the staff is amazing, AND you get an incredible ocean view!
My go-to is typically a taco and margarita or beer of the day. Each taco arrives with complimentary beans and rice so it’s a filling meal at a bargain deal! I can’t count the number I’ve stopped in after a day at the beach; it never disappoints.
Happy hour is from 3pm – 6pm Monday through Friday, offering half off appetizers. I highly recommend the nachos which are large enough to share. Just arrive with an empty stomach because this plate is filling!
Whether you are facing the ocean or want to people watch facing the store fronts, there’s a view for you. I love stopping by on the weekends for the brunch mimosa special. Nothing else competes!
And no, the tall fellow behind us was not in our original party. South Beach Bar & Grille goes all out during the holidays with special decorations that add to your experience walking in.
The outdoor patio area facing the Ocean Beach pier is the perfect place to catch a sunset. While parking can get a little tricky at times, there are quite a few spots right next to South Beach Bar & Grille for convenient parking and access.
Every day offers a different special so it’s worth stopping by different day’s of the week ’til you’ve tried them all!
