Located in Mission Valley, this thriving hibachi restaurant offers more than just delicious food and drinks. Benihana is all about the experience. I partook as part of a friend’s 30th birthday celebration and encountered AT LEAST three other like minded parties celebrating birthdays. If you are looking for something special, Benihana is the place to go!
We went as a party of 8 and all fit comfortably around the grill. The ingredients are cooked directly in front of you and are served piping hot with sauces to compliment each dish. Food is served when the entire party is present so no dilly dallying, try to arrive at the same time.
A stacked onion candle is lit in your honor. Don’t forget to make a wish.
Multiple courses are served and your chef is a source of amazing humor and entertainment. Courses range from mid $20-40’s depending on what you are in the mood for. The spicy mayo sauce compliments any dish so don’t forget to ask!
Halfway through, your stomach will tell you to stop but your heart will tell you to go on. I’ll leave it up to you, as it’s a personal decision only you can make.
