I was introduced to Miguel’s Cocina my first week in San Diego and have been hooked ever since. Since my diet consists primarily of veggies and seafood, I was worried my food choice might be somewhat limited. Not the case at all! Veggie and meat lovers unite.
For those of you who are not yet acquainted with this tasty spot, Miguel’s is a Mexican restaurant with a string of locations in San Diego. A treat for all of your senses, bright colors, cozy seating, and savory smells are the first things that greet you.
Once seated, you will always be given a complimentary basket of chips, salsa, and queso. Next, you have a more important decision to make. Which margarita will you get? I can personally vouch for Miguel’s Ultimate Margarita; tastes great, served in a shaker, pours two glasses, only $11. Or if you’re feeling adventurous, try the cucumber jalapeno margarita (my personal favorite at any location).
The food menu provides a wide variety of authentic Mexican food ranging from fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and signature house plates. And don’t worry! All of you brunch lovers out there, Sunday is your day. Brunch is served from 10:00am-3:00pm and for only $5, you can indulge in bottomless sparkling wine with the purchase of an entrée. Sold!
Old Town’s location is in the heart of the area with plenty of shops and historic buildings to discover. A walk away from the train station, it’s also an ideal spot to grab some food and a drink before exploring the rest of San Diego. Go visit your local Miguel’s Cocina today.
