Hot Spot Of The Week: Petco Park

Take me out to the ball gaaaaame, take me out to the fieeeeeld! Petco Park is a baseball lover’s dream come true. Open since 2004, Petco Park is home to the San Diego Padres Major League Baseball Team and located in downtown San Diego.

Visiting Petco Park was a day full of fun and surprises. As someone who likes baseball but doesn’t follow the sport (shame face), I was briefly worried this might not be the outing for me. A needless concern!

Petco Park has something to offer for anyone visiting the stadium. Purchase your favorite beer and indulge in your favorite snack taking in downtown views on each side.

Designated areas are located next to stadium seating where you are allowed take a break and lounge in the grass!

As you make your way to your seats, you can spot the Coronado Bridge on many of the stairwells.

And, it wouldn’t be San Diego without foliage sprinkled in each area. Plants cascade down under the walkways giving this very busy venue a balancing relaxed feel.

Tickets are very affordable depending on seating, usually starting at about $15. Because so many people attend at a time, parking can be tricky. I suggest carpooling or taking a Lyft however pre-paid parking is available.

Each game comes with a game highlight or promotion. Listen to your favorite band, come out for wineFest or Taco Tuesday. For details and more information click to see more HERE!

Towards the end of the game, we decided to try out some of the many different breweries located inside of Petco Park. The perfect way to end the day and we were not alone.

1000 plus bees decided to join us! If you look closely at the bottom of the table you’ll see where these savvy fliers decided to make their pit stop.

Fun fact: There are almost 100 different beers from 30 breweries in the Park. While your outing probably won’t include these little guys, you definitely have the opportunity to get…. buzzed…… all on your own!

Get your favorite team’s gear on, grab a friend, and let’s head to Petco Park!
